Pixelscan alternatives: fingerprint and proxy check tools compared

Pixelscan describes itself as a multi-check tool for browser fingerprinting, proxy detection, IP analysis and DNS leaks. Close alternatives are BrowserScan and iphey; BrowserLeaks and CreepJS go deeper on individual techniques. Our free tests take the view of a fraud-prevention server: the visitor ID it would assign, whether it recognises the browser again, and a trust score.

At a glance

  • Pixelscan: its own page says it is a complete multi-check tool for browser fingerprinting, proxy detection, IP analysis, DNS leaks and more, to see how detectable your setup is. The site is script-rendered, so we could not read further detail from its pages and do not describe it beyond that.
  • BrowserScan: free checks for IP, DNS leak, WebRTC, graphics, WebGPU, client hints, locale and bot detection. Its bot page lists automation checks such as WebDriver, headless Chrome, the Chrome DevTools Protocol and altered navigator values.
  • iphey: reports on browser, location, IP, hardware and software with an overall score, plus VPN, bot, DNS leak and IP blacklist checks. It lists partner offers from proxy and anti-detect browser vendors (Floppydata, Gologin and 1browser).
  • BrowserLeaks: separate detailed tests per technique, with a stated policy of not storing fingerprints.
  • CreepJS: open-source research on tampering and inconsistency, aimed at privacy tools. It asks that its name is not used for commercial sites.
  • AmIUnique and Cover Your Tracks: research projects that measure how rare a fingerprint is.

Where the others are stronger

BrowserScan and BrowserLeaks list more individual checks than we do, including port scanning and TLS tests. BrowserScan’s bot page names specific automation tools it looks for. CreepJS goes deepest on whether browser values have been tampered with. We show one result per visit rather than a long report.

Anti-detect browsers

Anti-detect browsers let a person keep many separate browser profiles, each with its own settings. Some of the tools above publish content about them or list their vendors as partners. Whether a profile looks consistent is a question each test answers on its own terms. We do not provide advice on evading checks; our tests show what a server sees.

What the FingerPrint Checker free tests show

Run the same browser or profile twice, once normally and once in a private window, and compare.

  • Browser fingerprint test: the visitor ID a fraud-prevention server assigns your browser, whether it recognised the browser from an earlier visit (including in a private window), how closely your signals matched the stored device, and a trust score.
  • WebRTC leak test: the addresses your browser reveals through WebRTC, set against the IP address websites see, so you can tell whether a VPN or proxy covers them.
  • No sign-up. Developers who want the same ID inside their own product can create an account with free checks.

Frequently asked questions

Does a clean result on one tool mean it passes on every site?

No. Each tool checks its own list, and a website’s own fraud system checks others. A result is one tool’s opinion at one moment.

Why did my WebRTC address differ from my IP address?

WebRTC asks a server for the public address of your connection, and that request can bypass a VPN or proxy. Our WebRTC leak test shows both addresses side by side.

Is this comparison complete?

No. It covers what we could confirm from each tool’s own public pages on the date above, and leaves out anything we could not check. Tools change; if something here is out of date or wrong, tell us through the contact form and we will correct it.
